What we Do

Our end goal is for students to experience learning that’s relevant, rigorous, and reflective of who they are. Our focus is on helping districts align what they teach with what they value as a district as well as what their community values. At Demonstra Curriculum Services, we partner with schools to uncover and repair the hidden gaps in their curriculum. We don’t just review documents, however, we challenge assumptions, guide reflection, and build systems where curriculum lives in the classroom as a daily practice, not just on paper.

Meet the Owner

Dr. Tiffany Shimmel

Tiffany Shimmel has spent the last 16 years in education, but her very first teaching moment, as a freshman in college, still sets the tone for her approach today. In the spring of 2006, she was required to teach taxes and assembly-line economics to second graders in Pittsburgh’s Hill District. It shouldn’t have worked. But it did. That early win taught her three things she still carries into the classroom today: never underestimate students, never back down from a wild teaching challenge, and sometimes you just have to fake it ‘til you make it!

Tiffany brings that same fearless energy whether she’s teaching, coaching, or helping schools rebuild curriculum from the ground up. Through Demonstra Curriculum Services, she’s on a mission to partner with educators and communities to build curriculum that’s bold, relevant, and relentlessly student-centered.

Our mission is to create positive change in schools by aligning curriculum with the real needs of students, teachers, and communities. We empower teachers and leaders to own that alignment through intentional curriculum design, dynamic implementation, and ongoing curriculum revision — ensuring that curriculum is not just a document, but a living tool for equity, excellence, and relevance.
